AthemePHP Class has been created by Global IRC. Because they wanted to have a site-wide account system where the users also could login onto thier IRC network, with this class it is possible.

We use the Atheme Services XML-RPC call methods to login, logout, register e.g. but it is still in development. The current version does support the main functionalities like NickServ, ChanServ and MemoServ but the ALIS and HostServ parts still needs to be build.
